Some examples of current Traffic Tickets offences and respective penalties:

You could face a fine and also demerit points- 1-15 km over 0 points – 16 to 29 over 3 points – 30 to 49 over 4 points – 50 km over 6 points.

First offence for no insurance is a minimum $5,000.00 up to $50,000.00, depending on whether it is the first offence or not. You may also get your vehicle impounded for up to 3 months, driver’s license suspension (up to a year), and major negative impacts on future insurance costs and availability.

Carries fines from $200 to $5,000 for a first offense, but penalties escalate significantly with repeat offenses, plus possible jail time (up to 6 months), vehicle impoundment (up to 7 days), demerit points, and severe insurance hikes.

On conviction (including a guilty plea), your fines can be from $400 to $2,000 (or more in construction zones), 6 demerit points, a potential license suspension up to two years (automatic for novice drivers), and possible jail time up to six months, along with significant insurance premium increases lasting many years.

Facing an immediate 30-day license suspension & 14-day vehicle impoundment, followed by court-ordered fines ($2,000-$10,000), a minimum 1-year license suspension (up to 3 years for first offense), 6 demerit points, and a mandatory Driver Improvement Course, plus massive insurance hikes – it is not worth the thrill; however it could potentially be mitigated with our help

Move over law requires motorists to slow down and move a lane over to give safe clearance to stopped emergency/roadside vehicles, law enforcement officers, firefighters, tow trucks, Ministry of Transportation (MTO) vehicles, and road maintenance vehicles with flashing lights.
Penalties and fines regarding reacting to an approaching or stopped emergency vehicle include:

A CVOR operator is the person or legal entity responsible for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle, who is responsible for: 1) The conduct of the driver; 2) The mechanical operation and safety condition of the vehicle; 3) The goods or passengers in/on the vehicle.

This section of the legislation applies to Ontario operators of commercial motor vehicles such as trucks, tractors, trailers or a combination of these vehicles, with a specific registered vehicle weight, gross or actual weight; tow trucks, regardless of registered weight; Buses with a manufactured seating capacity of 10 persons or more, excluding the driver; accessible vehicles and school-purposes vehicles, depending upon use, etc..
